The APEC Discussion Series at the Precinct commenced on 24 May 2019 with a discussion on trade policy and how free trade could benefit Papua New Guinea.
The keynote address was delivered by Roberto Azevêdo, World Trade Organization Director-General, who was joined for the panel discussion by Dr Allan Bollard, Executive Director, APEC Secretariat; Ms Jacinta Manua Officer in Charge, APEC Policy Coordination Division and Acting Deputy Secretary at the Department of Foreign Affairs; and Mr Chey Scovell, Chief Executive Officer of the Papua New Guinea Manufacturers Council.
